Tai Chi Healthcare is about how to take care of and be responsible for our own personal health. Rather than focusing on treating symptoms after already becoming sick, Tai Chi Healthcare focuses on building a healthy lifestyle, preventing sickness, and healing naturally from within.
I created Tai Chi Healthcare after many years of observing the established health care system in the U.S. My observations are based on 35 years as a Doctor of Chiropractic, and more than 46 years practicing and teaching tai chi, meditation, yoga, karate, whole foods nutrition, and healthy lifestyle.
My observation, based on the above, is that many if not all sicknesses can be healed through healthy living habits, and that the established “health care” system is in reality “sick care”. That is, wait until you are sick, then go to a doctor and take a pill. I fail to see what this has to do with health care.
Now I have expressed my above opinion many, many times with friends, students, patients, and strangers. Basically every person I expressed this opinion to agreed with me one hundred percent!
But little if anything changes in our so called “health care” system. We need to remember that the pharmaceutical companies are the driving force behind our health care system. That includes all the billions of dollars that goes into research to make new pills to “cure” us! Health care is big business, and when people are living healthy, well… that is bad for business!
We continue being “good patients” and doing whatever the doctors tell us, take whatever drugs they prescribe without questioning what they do or what their potential side effects are, and remain satisfied that this is the answer to our sicknesses.
For those of you who subscribe to the established health care system, I wish you the best. For those of you who are sick and tired of being given pharmaceutical drugs that mask your symptoms and may cause much more serious health problems, this is for you.
Tai Chi Healthcare is really quite simple. In this system, every day you practice tai chi and meditation. These are probably the best things we can do to relax our bodies and minds, and to let go of any accumulated tension caused by the stress of daily life.
The nutritional component involves a diet of plant based whole foods (fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds). Eliminate junk foods (you know what they are!) Avoid all processed foods that are loaded with sugar and fats…
And lastly spend time outdoors enjoying lots of fresh air and sunshine.
Thats it. Tai Chi Healthcare… Simple!
